Starbucks is in a bit of a pickle. With the American economy looking more bleak every day that passes, coffee competitors like Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonalds are jumping on the chance to steal away the Starbucks faithful.
We’ve already seen lower earnings reports and downsized forecasts from the coffee giant as well as a slew of store closings and restructuring in general.
Now, it’s come time for the kill and the economy isn’t on Starbucks’ side.
I love a tall cup of Starbucks coffee, especially in the winter months, and have never been one to buy one of their five dollar drinks. I’ve always questioned whether those that do are insane or just irresponsible. Anyway.
