Statistics show that most potential clients will search for your business online before ever making contact with you. Okay, so you have a website. That’s step one in a multi-step process. What about business listings on the three major search engines?
Creating business listings on Google, Yahoo, and Bing is an easy process and can help potential clients not only find you more easily, but can also assist in building your search engine optimization (SEO). Here’s what to do:
- Google: Google recently changed its “Places” listings and renamed it “Google My Business”. Click here to create your listing. You’ll be asked to enter basic business information which will help your potential clients find you via search, maps, or Google+.
- Yahoo: Yahoo offers a similar listing called “Yahoo Local Listing”. The process is very similar. Click here to create your account and listing.
- Bing: Same story here. Bing’s “Places for Business” can be found by clicking here.
Take 30 minutes to create these three accounts and you’ll thank yourself!
